At this time, the Nova Scotia Securities Commission is unable obtain criminal record checks for anyone applying for registration or for issuers in connection with filing Personal Information Forms, or for filing by Community Economic Development Investment Funds (CEDIFs). Criminal record checks must be submitted when Nova Scotia residents are filing an initial or reactivation of registration applications, in connection with filing Personal Information Forms or by CEDIFs under securities laws. To obtain a criminal record check, applicants can visit their nearest law enforcement office.
