Over the last year investing has become more complicated for investors and advisers. Prediction markets, event contracts, crypto assets, stablecoins and finfluencers are just a few of the emerging issues that investors are being bombarded with. These emerging issues have been consistently covered by the media, forums, Redditt and on social media. However, not all this coverage and discussions is unbiased, accurate, or even legal. Investors may hear a lot about these issues, but do they fully understand them, the risks behind them, and how they are addressed under securities laws?
During Investor Education Month in October, we’ll try to clear the air on many of these issues. Join staff from NSSC at the Halifax Central Library on Wednesday, October 14 for insightful, unbiased presentations and discussions on these emerging issues.
