March is Fraud Prevention Month!

March is Fraud Prevention Month. Throughout the month we’ll be sharing information on how to recognize and avoid investment fraud on our website, Twitter feed and relaunched YouTube Channel.

On our website we’ll be continuing our on-going series on investment risk in our Before You Invest Blog. The posts may not always pertain to investment fraud but knowing how risk can affect you and your investments is important when making investment decisions and when working with your adviser.

On Twitter we’ll be sharing investment fraud tips and advice throughout the month. Every Tuesday look for our Tuesday Fraud Tips to help you avoid failing victim to investment fraud. On Thursdays it’s always #ThrowBackThursday, and throughout March that means a look back at our profiles on famous fraudsters like Charles Ponzi, Bernie Madoff and Earl Jones.

Mondays are an important day on all our online channels as we’ll be debuting a new animated video on investment fraud every Monday throughout the month. The videos will be housed on our YouTube Channel, but look for links and info on our website and Twitter to take you right to them. Or, you could subscribe to our channel to know when new videos are posted. A few of the topics we’ll be looking at in our videos include Ponzi Schemes, Pump and Dumps, Boiler Rooms and What to do if you think you’ve been scammed.
