March is Fraud Prevention Month!

The Nova Scotia Securities Commission has several events and new content planned for the month to help you become a more informed investor and protect yourself from fraud.

Fraud Prevention Videos on our YouTube Channel:

Our YouTube Channel will also receive weekly updates on Mondays throughout Fraud Prevention Month. Our first new video will premiere on Monday, March 6 and will take a closer look at a prevalent crypto scam that has caused substantial losses for investors in Nova Scotia and throughout North America. The video will explain how the scam works to help investors identify and avoid it.

The rest of our videos during March are part of our new “3 Minutes on _____” video series. These new short and to the point videos will look at a specific investing topic and explain the basics about it in three minutes. During Fraud Prevention Month these videos will focus on fraud and will include:

In March the Nova Scotia Securities Commission is returning to the Halifax Central Library for Informed Investor Presentations. There are two presentations scheduled for March 16 and March 28. Here is a look at the presentation topics:
