Psychology of Investing: Status Quo Bias

The seventh part of our psychology of investing series takes a closer look at status quo bias. How comfortable are you with change? Most people don’t like change, some even fear it. If you prefer to stick to the ways things are instead of changing course, even when the change might be wise, you could be affected by status quo bias.

June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)

First observed by the United Nations on June 15, 2012, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) recognizes that nearly every country across the globe is experiencing a substantial growth in the number of older persons, Nova Scotia included. The most recent census showed that 22.2% of Nova Scotia’s population is 65 years of age or older.
