In 2017 the Before You Invest Blog was relaunched. A Question of the Week format was implemented that ensured at least one new blog post per week. Since then, there have been 301 new blog posts, of which 244 were Question of the Week posts, consisting of more than 90,000 words. After five years of questions and answers we’ve decided to make a few changes.
We’ll still be answering questions when they come up, but we’ll be adding new content that will focus on investment fraud, securities regulation, enforcement rulings, timely investment education topics, and more.
We’ll still be delivering investment education content on the basics of investing and how it works. However, through this blog revamp we’re hoping to better educate Nova Scotians about the work we do and what affects it can have on their day-to-day investing. What does the latest CSA notice mean for your relationship with your advisor, or the issuers you invest with? What happened in the latest public enforcement proceeding? What securities laws were broken and how can you avoid making the same mistake?
As we deliver new content throughout 2022 we’d love to have your feedback on how we’re doing. Is it helpful? Is there more you’d to know about? Is there a question you have that you can’t find the answer to on our website? Let us know. The blog revamp starts tomorrow with a review of the investor alerts we issued in 2021. We hope to see you then.
