Investor Alerts and Cautions review: January-March

Part of the Nova Scotia Securities Commission mandate is to protect Nova Scotia investors. One of the ways we do that is by issuing investor alerts and cautions. You can find all the alerts we’ve issued for the last seven years on our Investor Alert Database.

To try and spread further awareness about the companies and people we have issued alerts and caution about, our Before you Invest Blog does regular reviews of alerts through the year. This review will look at all alerts and cautions issued since January.

The Canadian Securities Administrators warned the public to be vigilant for unsolicited communications that come from scammers posing as CSA staff or staff of CSA members.

This Fraud Prevention Month, the Canadian Securities Administrators warned Canadians of potentially misleading advice and fraudulent online investment opportunities and reminding them to research the claims before investing

March 17, 2023 - Canadian securities regulators warn public about unregistered trading platform Nova Tech Ltd


The Canadian Securities Administrators warned the public that Nova Tech Ltd (NovaTech), which operates the website www.novatechfx.com, is not registered with a securities regulator in any province or territory in Canada. This means they are not authorized to offer trading in any securities or derivatives to anyone located in Canada.
